Call for papers

First Call for Papers
We are very happy to announce that 2015 Colour and Visual Computing Symposium (CVCS) will take place in Gjøvik, Norway, on 25-26 August 2015. This will be the eighth time that the Norwegian Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory at Gjøvik University College (GUC) organizes this event. This edition of the symposium follows up on the success achieved by the previous runs, of the biannual Gjøvik Colour Imaging Symposium (GCIS), from 2003 to 2011, and CVCS 2013. They have attracted a growing number of participants and provided a platform for fruitful discussions and exploration of recent theoretical advances and emerging practical applications of spectral, colour, and visual information processing.
CVCS 2015 will contain a rich program of tutorials, invited keynotes, and regular talks on a wide variety related topics given by young researchers and well-known international experts in the field. Already confirmed keynote speakers for the symposium are Dr. Alessandro Rizzi (Università degli Studi di Milano) and Dr. Reiner Eschbach (Xerox).

Topics of particular interest to CVCS 2015 include, but are not limited to:
o Image and Video Quality Assessment and Enhancement
o Computational Colour and Vision Science
o Imaging for Health and Medical Applications
o Colour and Image Processing in Mobile Devices
o Image and Video Processing and Analysis
o 3D and Multiview Imaging
o Computational Photography
o Colour and Image Metrology
o Multi-channel Colour Printing
o Imaging for Cultural Heritage
o Visualization and Perception
o Cross-Media Colour Reproduction
o Media Security, Forensics, and Biometrics
o Spectral Image Capture, Processing and Reproduction

Prospective authors are invited to submit extended abstracts with initial results (PDF file of 2 to 6 pages). The final camera-ready papers will be of length 4 to 6 pages. All submissions must be done through the submission system according to the authors’ guidelines. All papers will go through a blind review process.

We have technical sponsorship from IEEE. We will seek publication of the accepted papers in IEEEXplore. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including IEEE Xplore® Digital Library, if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.
